One of the most recent crags to be developed, where Mother Nature has been generous with fantastic quality limestone. With 20 amazing pitches it's the reference crag for the area. West facing, at sunset the labyrinth of tufas transform glowing red; take care not to climb too early in the afternoon as the rock becomes too hot to handle! Despite the numerous tufas the climbing is varied, from slightly overhanging to steep roofs. Many routes don't seem to overhang much, but when you lower off...

GETTING THERE

Reach Positano, circa 60km south of Naples, and continue up to Montepertuso.From the town square in Monte Pertuso walk up the steps towards the Buco hole. Before reaching this a path breaks off right and coasts the entire Monte Gambera amphitheatre. Take care not to walk on the cultivated terraces. 20 minutes.
