Pietrasecca Vena Cionca
Pietrasecca is located beneath the village in the Marino Valley and hosts circa 70 routes from 5a to 8c, with numerous in the 6a/b region. This historic crag located at circa 800m is characterised by an obvious jutting overhang and offers technical face climbing.
The crag has been re-equipped recently thanks to the local Yama Assocciation, and Pietrasecca recently made headline news with the first free ascent of "Shanghai", a 20 year-old project freed at 8c in June 2008 by Roberto delle Fratte. "La Morte" is the final big challenge through the steep overhang still waiting for its first free ascent.
