Although there's not much information to go on, this is without a doubt one of the most interesting ascents in the Himalayas this season: we're talking about Denis Urubko and Serguey Samoilov's ascent of Manaslu via a new route up the NE Face.

The two Kazak mountaineers left Base Camp at 4700m on 4 May to reach 6000m. On 5 May they climbed through terrible weather to reach 6500m, while on 7 May they reached the seracs at 7250m. On 8 May they summited and descended to Base Camp the next day. It is worth noting that this is the second time the duo reached the summit this season, as on 25 April they had ascended Manaslu via the normal route.

This is Urubko's 10th 8000m peak (his 12th if you consider the fact the he has ascended Manaslu and Broad Peak twice), but importantly this is the second new route in two consecutive seasons for the Urubko and Samilov. Last year the duo ascended Broad Peak in their hallmark sytle: a small lightweight expedition and without oxygen.
