![]() On 25 May Cristian Brenna managed to make the seventh redpoint of Underground 8c+/9a at Massone (Arco, Italy). The 22m route, first ascended by Manfred Stuffer in 1998, starts way down in the quarried Pueblo basin and climbs across the impressively steep roof to finish... where most routes begin. Brenna had attempted the line in 2003, falling off the crux finishing moves 6 times before leaving the route for another day. A tip-off by Slovenian hot shot Uros Perko on how to top out meant that Brenna is no longer underground.
