The section of the South Face of Sass Pordoi where the rockfall occurred.
The Val di Fassa Mountain Guides would like to inform you about recent rockfall that has affected a portion of the south face of Sass Pordoi, Sella, close to the summit cross.
Accordingly, since there is danger of possible further rockfall, we recommend you do not use the ledge the leads to or from the various rock climbs (Dibona, Fedele, etc.) towards Forcella Pordoi or Passo Pordoi via the ledge. We recommend you do not use the ledge until this area has been made safe.
Furthermore, we recommend you do not climb the routes close to the affected area. In particular, we recommend you steer clear of Via della Galleria, as well as the climbing below Finestrone ad Arco and Via Piaz. No rockfall nor problems have been reported on the routes Maria, Gross and De Franceschi.
