Daniel Woods climbs Mission Impossible as well. No, not the famous winter route in Val di Cogne established in 2000 by Mauro Bubu Bole which marked an important stepping stone in the evolution of drytooling, but his own creation, freed just the other day at Clear Creek Canyon in Colorado, USA.
In truth the route had been bolted by Jay Samuelson last year and Woods freed the line after circa 7 days of effort, proposing at least 9a which makes it his hardest first ascent to date.
Commenting in detail on climbing.com Woods explained "I had watched 'Wizard's Apprentice' the night before and saw Adam Ondra battle it out in heinous conditions so this gave me inspiration to go into warrior mode and finish it off."
