Planetmountain.com goes online today with its Gallery, the zone dedicated to mountain photography, climbing, alpinism, trekking, and skiing, with currently more than 10,000 photos.

We're kicking the year off with a first update: today marks the start of our gallery! In fact, we've decided to archive and share with you all the photos we've used in our news reports since 2007. At the same time, our classic black homepage used as the entry point and choice of language disappears, while the classic cover shot will be at the start of the gallery.
More than 10,000 photos can now be browsed by search words (such as Everest, Chris Sharma, etc) or by author. Each image is linked to the news it was used for and if you wish you can cast a vote and rate each single image.
We believe this gallery is a great toy to be "explored" but also a useful instrument for all those who love the mountains and photography. So, enjoy this new section and, even if slightly late, have a good 2012!
