The Tour du Rutor Extrême 2014 will be held in Valle d'Aosta, Italy from 28 - 30 March. After the recent Pierra Menta this is the second stage of the Grande Course, the championship of the most important and prestigious ski mountaineering races in the world.
The 29th Pierra Menta took place at Arêches-Beaufort (France) from 20 - 23 March 2014. The classic ski mountaineering competition was won by the Italians Matteo Eydallin & Damiano Lenzi. The women's event was won by the French - Swiss team Laetitia Roux & Maude Mathy.

On Saturday 1 March at Les Diablerets, Switzerland Kilian Jornet Burgada and Laetitia Roux won the fourth stage of the Scarpa ISMF Ski Mountaineering World Cup. Sunday's Vertical Race was won by Jornet Burgada and Roux, while the overall Vertical Race World Cup 2014 was won by Damiano Lenzi and Roux.

At the Ski mountaineering European Championships held at Andorra, this morning Robert Antonioli from Italy and Laetitia Roux from France won the Vertical Race. Second place went to Manfred Reichegger and Maude Mathys, third to Damiano Lenzi and Claudia Galicia Cotrina.

The third stage of the Scarpa ISMF Ski Mountaineering World Cup 2014 was won in Val Comelico, Italy, yesterday by Kilian Jornet Burgada and Laetitia Roux. The Spaniard Oriol Cardona Coll and Giulia Compagnoni won the Junior categories. In the Espoir categories victory went to the Swiss Jennifer Fiechter and Anton Palzer. Friday's Sprint Race was won by Josef Rottmoser and Laetitia Roux.
