Airy, beautiful and not too difficult line up the first of the three aretes which give the Tofana di Rozes its hallmark profile. The route finished up the classic "Primo Spigolo", first ascended by A. Alverà and U. Pompanin in 1946. Despite being bolt protected run-outs are not uncommon...

Getting there
Drive to Rifugio Dibona, at the foot of the Tofana di Rozes. This is reached from Cotina by driving towards Passo Falzarego, past Pocol and few hairpin bends, and turning off right up onto the dirt track following signs for the refuge. Access
Approach this climb by walking up to the base of the pillar from Rifugio Dibona. The route starts on the right-hand edge of the Primo Spigolo face, along the obvious rightwards slanting ramp. Allow about 30 minutes for the walk-in. Descent
Traverse along the ledge towards the Punta Marietta buttress. Walk down the scree and ledges to the base of the buttress, and then walk around this on exposed terrain. Now descend past huge boulders to Rifugio Giussani. Gear
Full rack, two 60m ropes.

Via molto bella e spittata dove serve! Una serie di friend è fondamentale per integrare la luuuunga distanza degli spit e stare tranquilli! Grande mox e ghin!

Bella via come di solito quelle di Mox . la roccia è super e si adatta bene all'uso dei friends che è meglio avere visto che gli spit sono rarefatti. Secondo me il tiro chiave è il secondo superato il quale si va. Nel terzo tiro dopo il tetto, che si supera agevolmente a dx, per arrivare in sosta traversare tutto a dx fin dove si può e rimontare abb. agevolmente. Il 6a di L3 è molto sottovalutato ma protetto bene. Noi siamo scesi dalla cengia in doppia,non ci andava di scarpinare, la doppia del tetto è obliqua meglio rinviare un paio di spit e da qui ultima calata fino alla base di un canalino facilmente arr in discesa.

Bella roccia e bella via, valutazioni bonarie.Fatta senza leggere questi commenti e anche noi negli ultimi due tiri non abbiamo trovato spit, solo chiodi.

attenzione al primo tiro dopo la grande cengia ( dovrebbe essere l'ottavo ) nel quale sono state tolte le placchette e ribattuti gli spit. consigliati friends medi e piccoli
