| Eclipse 6b (6a obligatory) M. Piola, P. Strappazzon To reach the abseil for this route turn right where the road divides sharply and follow the yellow-orange markers once near the cliff. The route name is marked at the beginning of the abseil. It is possible to get away with only doing two 60m abseils but we recommend three. The route rises up the left-hand side of La Maladiere, starting on the slabs to the left of the large central overhang. Sharp shallow pockets on grey limestone make for elegant, entertaining climbing. The protection is good except for the first pitch which is a bit exposed! Two 60m ropes, a selection of nuts. |
