Rock Master Festival 2012 at Arco

From 25 August to 2 September 2012 at Arco (Italy) the Rock Master Festival: 10 days of total climbing and fun.

Twenty-five years of Rock Master, ten years of Rock Junior, one World Championship…Arco has become the world’s undisputed rock climbing capital. This is why it now launches a new challenge, the Rock Master Festival: 10 days packed with great sports competitions and outdoor events dedicated to the climbing champions and all those who love outdoor actitivies.

Thanks to the new formula you can experience ten days of total outdoor fun, both as spectators and main players. Infact, the big novelty this year is the International Open. Anyone can take part in this, and the best five will compete with the Rock Master champions.

- Climbing Village: a great area with places to be to eat and drink, stands of the most important outdoor companies and the specialised press
- Test Area: at the foot of Monte Colodri and close to the Climbing Village, there will be a large Test Area to filed-test the latest outdoor gear and footwear. And with the Mountain Guides you’ll be able to enjoy the thrill of climbing and via ferrata.
- Experiences: a unique opportunity to experience unforgettable moments outdoors, along the paths and at the crags in the Garda Trentino. Mountain Guides and Trentino Guides will teach you how to climb in safety and discover the most beautiful corners of this area of the Mediterranean wedged between the Alps.

The sport events
Rock Master Lead- the best climbers in the world will challenge each other in what has become the most classic international competition, the "Wimbledon" of climbing.
Boulder - Pure power explosions and delicate, tip-toe balance, improbable contortions and pull-ups on microscopic crimps…
Duel Lead. Two routes, identical and parallel of extreme difficulty. One rule only: the climber who climbs the highest, fastest, wins.
IFSC Speed World Cup – The world’s best vertical sprinters battle it out in a series of direct elimination rounds to qualify for the final which, in the blink of an eye, decrees the winner.
Rock Junior - International Under 14 competition, all future champions compete in this event.
Kid's Rock - This competition in a game, open to all youngsters aged 5 – 13. A classic event for budding climbers and also a great opportunity for complete beginners.
Family Rock - A fun competition for the entire family. This is the only chance to see parents and their children share the same passion, on the same climbing wall, in the speed relay race
