Climbing at the Dolomites of Lienz

With the beginning of summer, it's time to move from the sport climbing crangs to the alpine climbing areas.
With a height o.s.l. of about 2000-2500 metres and with 30 to 500 metres calcareous walls, the Dolomites of Lienz offer a perfect multi-pitch climbing area for beginners and advanced. There are short and bolted routes of 5 to 7 pitches, with difficulties arout 3°, 4°, 5°, but also alpine climbs with over 15 pitches, with higher difficulties between 6a and 7c!

The Alpine Guides of Kals offers courses for beginners that set their feets for the first time into an alpine area, coachings for advanced climbers with a certain climbing experience in sport climbing crags and want to enter the world of cams and nuts and, last but not least, the Alpine Guides of Kals will guide you through the route you have always dreamed of, for example: the "North Face of Laserz", "Comici" on the Grosse Zinne, "Yellow Edge" on the Kleine Zinne, "Constantini Apollonio" on the Tofana di Rozes, "Vinatzer Messner" on the Marmolada" or one of the big classics of the Northern Calcarous Alps - "Pumprisse" or "Tschechenplatte".

Information:

• The Dolomites of Lienz are located ca. 40 minutes from the Italian/Austrain boundary of San Candido in direction of Lienz. Our "Basecamp", the alpine hut "Karlsbaderhütte" (renovated 2011), can be reached with a 2 hours hike from the parking area at the "Dolomitenhütte".
• The Alpine Guide of Kals offers climbing courses and coachings for any levels, from 50 Euros a day/person. The prices for the classic routes in the Dolomites and in the Northern Calcareous Alps will be adapted individually.
