When driving up the Val di Sole or down from Passo del Tonale you just can't miss the Cima Presanella. Even for the dozens of cyclists who despairingly eye the steep hairpin turns this steep glacier is a call to a colder season, when cycling up the pass is impossible.
And even if mountaineering has moved on to more extreme and grandiose objectives, the "classic' alpinism found here remains an inspiration to many.
Presanella's large north face has lost none of its charm, offering classic ice climbing intermingled with a few demanding testpieces such as Via del Seracco or Via Anna e Mario on Cima Vermiglio.
