Gößgraben

The Gößgraben is a side-valley of the Maltatal and contains the spectacular "Zwillingsfälle": two streams tumble down steep rock into a gorge and join to form one single fall.
It’s shady and hidden location favours ice formation and so it is often in condition.
The "Ritteralm Fall" is another icefall that remains in condition for a long time.

Getting there:

As for the Maltatal, but turn left over the bridge in proximity of the "Fallbach" (approx. 12km after Gmünd, direction "Gasthaus Zirmhof"). Continue left up the first road. Heavy snowfall may make this road impassable, and often it is only possible to drive up to the "Gößbauer". Follow the road for about 4km, past the lonely "Kohlmayr Alm – Gasthaus Mentebauer" until you reach the riverbed. Turn right here and follow the riverbed to the gorge. Continue cautiously, as the gorge is prone to rockfall
The "Ritterbach" is located on the left-hand side of the valley!

No detailed route information is currently available for these three icefalls
