Most hard modern boulder problems follow a series of tiny crimps and invisible smears, what makes The Kraken stand out therefore is that this is a 40 ft long horizontal roof crack which requires powerful hand jams and finger locks. Located at Hartland Quay in Devon, it was freed in August 2015 by British crack specialist Tom Randall with difficulties estimated at V13.
