Fontainebleau, without a doubt one of the most important bouldering areas in the world, has just been enriched with Le Pied à Coulisse, a problem freed by Guillaume Glairon-Mondet who has tentatively graded the line 8C+. As such, the problem is a contender for being one of the hardest in the world. The problem is actually located at Rocher Gréau, outside the famous forest close to the city of Nemoursm on the outskirts of Paris, and starts up Chaos before reaching out through the roof and finishing up tricky mantle.

Glairon-Mondet, who has climbed five 8C boulders in the past at Fontainebleau, first attempted the line 3 years ago. After his success he stated "To give a grade is for me the hardest part... One thing is clear for me though : this problem seems to be of a new level of difficulty in the forest, a lot harder than the other things I have already done."

Other 8C+ problems include Gioia put up by Christian Core at Varazze in Italy and Terranova first climbed by Adam Ondra at Moravsky Kras in the Czech Republic.
