The Semifinals of the Innsbruck stage of the 2014 Bouldering World Cup gets underway today at 12:30 and will be followed, at 19:30, but the Finals. After yesterday's qualifiers the provisional ranking is led by France's Guillaume Glairon Mondet and Russia's Dmitrii Sharafutdinov, leaders of their respective groups with 5 tops each, while the women's field is currently led by Austria's Anna Stöhr (5 tops all climbed first go) and Japan's Akiyo Noguchi (5 tops in 7 attempts). All eyes will be on them, but also on Adam Ondra who after year's of absence from the Bouldering World Cup celebrated his return to the global circuit yesterday. He will be first out of the starting blocks because his round was one of those in which the difference between qualifying or returning home was absolutely minimal; the Czech climber qualified last, joint 10th with Austria's Thomas Farell. From 12:30 onwards we'll know more.
