Lumignano Highline

20.12.2013 by Planetmountain

Alessandro d'Emilia and Niccolò Zarattini walk the highline 'Lumignola' at Lumignano, Vicenza, Italy.

50m of webbing, tensioned above the Padana plain in the small Lumignano climbing paradise... or better still, on that fantastic (and slighty magical) Brojon balcony. This is the Lumignola highline, created on the limestone pillars of Monte Brojon by Alessandro d'Emilia and Niccolò Zarattini and attempted for the first time a few years back "when I was still a beginner" explained d'Emilia who finally completed it this autumn. Yet another gem of creativity that pays homage to one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Berici hills and the undisputed technical and historical importance of the climbs which shaped Lumignano into becoming a world-class crag.
