Happy Winter, extreme skiing with Andreas Fransson

31.10.2013 by Planetmountain

The video Happy Winter produced by Bjarne Salén about Andreas Fransson and his extreme skiing.

Every now and then Andreas Fransson appears on our radar, the Swedish alpinist who first had the vision to ski the immense South Face of Denali in Alaska or, to cite another of his great descents, the Whillans ramp on Aguja Poincenot in Patagonia. Fransson made waves ever since his arrival at Chamonix in 2006 but now he says "Things change. I'm not out there to seek perfection. Now it's just about going out into the mountains because I have realised that this is the best way for me to spend my precious time on earth." A realisation that certainly came about in the aftermath of the serious skiing accident Fransson had in 2010.
