Te Araroa in New Zealand run by Jez Bragg

21.02.2013 by Planetmountain

Video of Englishman Jez Bragg who ran the 3054 km long Te Araroa trail in New Zealand in 54 days.

How do you cross all of New Zealand, from the tip of its North Island to the bottom of its South Island? Simple, follow the Te Araroa. Which has nothing simple about it: 3054 very difficult kilometres, with plenty of rivers to wade through, the Southern Alps to cross as well as the Cook Strait which needs navigating in kayak. Recently Jez Bragg from England completed (and survived) this grueling trip in an impressive 54-day trail run!
