The Rock Master International Open Lead began this morning at 9.00am, with 14 men and 8 women. The best 5 athletes qualify for the final stages of the legendary Rock Master trophy.

The Rock Master International Open Lead has just begun. This new formula enables today’s best five athletes to compete alongside the great champions in the legendary Rock Master competition which begins on Saturday. This morning 14 male and 8 female athletes will take to the Climbing Stadium stage and they come not only from Europe, but South America too with plenty of climbers from Mexico, Venezuela and Ecuador, as well as one athlete from Israel.

In order to qualify for Saturday’s Rock Master the men will have to tackle a 7c “warm-up” on one side of the legendary Climbing Stadium, followed by a 7c+, while the women will be tested by a 7b and then a 7b. As mentioned earlier, only the best five will qualify for the Rock Master and their dream to raise the legendary trophy will continue.
