Bambi, new ice climb in Val d'Adige by Guerzoni and Deambrogio
A new ice and drytooling route has been established inVal d'Adige by Andrea Guerzoni and Fabio Deambrogio: Bambi WI 5+/6 M9, 300m.
In Northern Italy's Val d'Adige Andrea Guerzoni and Fabio Deambrogio have recently established Bambi, a 300m ice and drytooling route with difficulties up to WI 5+/6 M9. The final pitch was bolted with the use of aid and still awaits a free ascent. Guerzoni describes Bambi as a route which is "situated in a grandiose environment, extremely wild and isolated. The extenuating approach, the 300m climb and long descent render this more an alpine outing than a sport climb. There is plenty of potential for further routes thanks above all to the pillars which hide some real gems."
