The Incredible Hulk, Peter Croft's Venturi Effect
Pete Croft and Lisa Rands climb The Venturi Effect up the The Incredible Hulk, established by Croft and Dave Nettle in 2004.
After a step back in time examining a route established by Kurt Smith at Joshua Tree, the Origin Series continues with a look at the multi-pitch Venturi Effect on The Incredible Hulk in California's Sierra Nevada.
Established by Canadian climbing legend Peter Croft and Dave Nettle in 2004, the 12 pitch line weighs in at V, 5.12+ up what Croft describes as being "the best alpine wall in the country." In this video Croft, famous above all for his one-day link-up of the Nose and Salathé Wall on El Capitan and his solo of Astroman on Washington Column in Yosemite, reclimbs his classic route along with one of the most talented boulderers in the world, Lisa Rands.
