Res-Max, first descent in the Adamello – Presanella range

24.03.2011 by Planetmountain

On 11/03/2011 Giuliano Bordoni, Bruno Compagnet, Minna Riihamaki and Oli Herrer carried out the first descent of the gully located between Canale del Dito and Canale Pericle-Sacchi in the Adamello - Presanella range, Italy

On 11 March the narrow gully wedged between the famous Canale del Dito and Canale Pericle-Sacchi in the Adamello-Presanella range was skied for the first time by Giuliano Bordoni, along with one of freeriding legends Bruno Compagnet, Minna Riihamaki and Oli Herrer.

The gully had been ascended in the past by Tone Moles but never skied before and towards the end a couple of bolts were placed for the abseils. The line checks in at 60° 5.3 AD E4 and in agreement with Moles the gully has now been called "Res-Max"  in memory of the late Maximine Belleville and Res Baehler, two mountain guides and great friends.
