Josune Bereziartu climbing at Margalef

Josune Bereziartu repeats Mandragora, 8c (Onate) and Geminis, 8c (Rodellar) and on-sights a series of 8a and 8a+.

Josune Bereziartu shows no signs of letting up. On short breaks from her indoor winter training regime, the Basque climber travelled to various crags in N. Spain to repeat two 8c's an on-sight a string of 8a's and 8a+. Many of these were in Margalef, described by Josune as a "new climbng paradise." We'll take her word for it.

"Margalef is a new climbing paradise, close to Montsant and Siurana. There are routes of all types and the quality is awesome: big overhangs, big holds, small pockets, tufas, bouldery routes, power endurance, stamina... and many are 5 star quality. The "alma mater" nowdays is the owner of the refuge in Margalef, called Jordi. He sells the local guidebook and will give you all the you beta need."
