The scariest road in India

14.03.2014 by Planetmountain

Video of the journey along the incredible road that leads Kishtwar Kailash, the mountain first climbed by Mick Fowler and Paul Ramsden in October 2013.

At times the approach to a mountain can prove more scary than the actual climb. English mountaineers Mick Fowler and Paul Ramsden know a thing or two about this: last autumn they travelled to the Indian Himalaya together with Mike Morrison and Rob Smith to reach Kishtwar Kailash, the mountain Fowler and Ramsden then climbed in alpine style from 4 - 10 October. Before setting foot on the peak though, the four alpinists had to travel along what could well be described as "The scariest Road in India Ever." Seeing is believing.
