Wurzer Rinne
Nice ice and mixed route established by the brothers Peter and Matthias Wurzer, a few hundred metres to the right of Hauptgully. Like the other routes on this face, it finished on the Hochgasser North Ridge.
ACCESS
The approach (circa 1 - 1.5 hours) starts from the north exit of the Felbertauerntunnel. From here ascend either to the left or to the right of the tunnel exit.
DESCENT
Descend to Schoppmanntörl and walk on down to the car, or descend towards St. Pöltner Hütte and then follow the road to reach the south tunnel entrance. In both cases calculate circa 2 - 2.5 hours.
NOTES
Even if these routes don't climb extreme difficulties, both require carefully snow pack assessment, as the NW Face is prone to avalanches. Autumn is therefore the best time of year for these routes.
