The North Face Kalymnos Climbing Festival - Storyteller live streaming tonight
From 20:50 tune in to this "channel" to watch the live streaming of Storyteller, the special The North Face Kalymnos Climbing Festival evening with this year's protagonists Hansjörg Auer from Austria and Iker Pou and Eneko Pou from Spain. The adventure to be experienced together, directly from the warm and magical Greek night, is their "cold" but exciting Baffin Island expedition 2012.
While waiting for the live streaming of this "super party" called The North Face Kalymnos Climbing Festival, we can confirm that the climbing that took place during yesterday's first PROject competition day was supreme. The location was a beautiful new crag wedged between the sectors Ghost Kitchen and Skalia Pillar where Jacopo Larcher, Hansjörg Auer, Iker Pou and Siebe Van Hee had bolted 18 pitches, 8 of which were have been allocated to the competition. Which, according to the climbers themselves, seems anything but a competition. So much so that for them it's like a great day at the crag. And an amazing one at that, seeing that Alexander Megos sent all 4 routes of the men's comp in a mere 5 attempts. His onsight of Don't touch my balls and his second go redpoint of Klesha 8c+ were truly remarkable... well, he is the man who made the world's first 9a onsight, isn't he?! Megos cannot be outdone, Gabriele Moroni climbed superbly to slip into provisional second place. In the women's event the provisional standings see almost all on a par, perhaps Ciavaldini is slightly in the lead but tomorrow, as the saying goes, is another day. The routes are hard and tomorrow morning, from 8:00 to 13:00 and once again in live streaming, we're bound to witness some great attempts and sends by everyone!
In the meantime, this evening at Kalymnos is party time with the Storyteller night, even for those who can only enjoy it in live streaming.
