Ospo and Misja Pec are two extremely famous crags, two reference points for climbing not only in Slovenia and languages from every corner of the world echo continuously across their limestone walls. Unfortunately there is downside to this deserved popularity, especially during the winter months when the cliffs buzzing with activity, and currently there are delicate access problems connected to the usual reasons: disrespectful parking, rubbish left behind below the cliffs and wild camping at the base.

Urban Golob explains "Yes, there have been problems in the past and it is important to realise how important it is for climbers to adhere to some simple guidelines. The biggest problem is parking in the village. If you stay at the small campsite at Ospo then this obviously isn't a problem, but those who come for the day should ask the campsite owner where to park. Currently it costs 3 euros to park in his field, but two of these euro go towards a beer or coffee at his place after you've climbed ;-) It is of utmost importance that you do not park anywhere else in the village, and certainly not below the Misja Pec crag as was done in the past since this is no longer permitted. An alternative to the campsite in Osp is to park close to Gabrovica, the small village just before Osp; although this isn’t official, it’s currently tolerated. Other pressing problems are wild camping below Misja Pec and rubbish left behind at the crags and it goes without saying that both of these are obviously strictly prohibited."
