In case of an avalanche, one of the most important factors for survival is time – every second counts.
Companions must rescue the victim as quickly as possible, but factors such as shock, fear, stress, exhaustion and prevailing weather conditions may influence the efficiency of their rescue.
An avalanche transceiver is essential, and the simpler and easier this is to use, the faster the search can be carried out, thereby greatly increasing the victim’s chances of survival.

With the new ORTOVOX M1 avalanche victims can now be located more simply and more quickly than ever before. A digital display indicates what steps need to be undertaken and the menu control guides the searcher to the victim. This digital display also indicates the distance to the victim and warns when the search is being carried out in the wrong direction.

The M1 conforms to all current standards and indeed adds new dimensions to avalanche transceivers.
