    From September 30 to October 4, 2016, the first Uiju Mountain Film Festival took place in South Korea. Italian mountaineer Reinhold Messner was the Honorary guest, while 24 films took part in the competition. The Festival Grand Prize was awarded to Jurek by Paweł Wysoczański and the inclusion of our film "Chris Bonington - Life and climbs" provided a good reason for a trip (and a little adventure) to discover the meaning of the mountains in this great East Asian country.

    This morning at 05:10 the Italian trail runner Lisa Borzani crossed the finishing line of Tor des Géants 2016, winning the women's event after 91 hours and 9 minutes and placing seventh overall.

    The Tor des Géants 2016 was won this afternoon by Oliviero Bosatelli after 75 hours and 10 minutes. All the remaining athletes competing in the grueling endurance trail across the 4000m peaks in Italy's Valle d'Aosta, via the 330km and 24,000m elevation gain course, have until Saturday 17 September to complete the race.
